Holy Week begins on Sunday, March 25 with Palm Sunday services at 8:15am and 10:30am. This service includes the blessing of the palms and reading the passion narrative of scripture as we enter into Holy Week.
Family Maundy Thursday service at 6pm on Thursday, March 29. This service is interactive, for all ages, and is an opportunity to learn, worship, read scripture, and pray together. This service includes Holy Communion and ritual hand/foot washing.
Maundy Thursday service with the stripping of the altar (ancient tradition where all the altar cloths and other items are taken off the altar and it is left bare in preparation for the solemn Good Friday service) is at 7:30pm on March 29 and includes Holy Communion and ritual hand/foot washing.
Family Good Friday service starts at 9:30am on Friday, March 30 in the Parish Hall. This interactive one-hour service provides an opportunity for parents and children to pray, worship, and learn more about Jesus’ death on the cross together.
Good Friday service starts at 10:30am on Friday, March 30. This solemn service commemorates the cross of Jesus and includes singing, drama, scripture reading, prayer and Holy Communion.
Easter Vigil begins at 7:30pm on Saturday, March 31. This ancient service includes lighting the new fire outside and processing into the darkened church (representing the resurrection of Jesus from the dark tomb) together. This is the first opportunity during Holy Week to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus and includes joyful singing, scripture reading, prayer, and Holy Communion.
Easter services will be at 8:15am and 10:30am on Sunday, April 1. Both services include a joyful celebration of Christ’s resurrection and include scripture reading, prayer, and Holy Communion. There will be a special Easter children’s program at the 10:30am service in the Parish Hall, followed by an Easter Egg hunt (open to children 12 and under).
