We are happy to welcome Kevin Parks to St. Philip’s as Minister of Music! Kevin comes to us with 40 years’ experience as a church music leader across Canada, especially the Maritimes. He is an Adult Educator, Arts Administrator, Program Developer, Team Leader, and Social Justice Advocate.
Before joining the SPOTH Family, he was the Minister of Music at St. Andrew’s United Church in Halifax where he was responsible for all aspects of the music program, leading congregational singing, leading and developing the choir, and the worship band, overseeing a staff of 6. If that didn’t keep him busy enough, he was also the University Musician at the Atlantic School of Theology leading music in daily/weekly chapel worship in an ecumenical chapel setting. Modelling collaboration/collegiality among worship leaders and teaching creative integration of music and the arts in an ecumenical worship setting for future ministry practitioners.
