We love our pets, and they are welcome to come to church for a special blessing. Join us for an informal service in commemoration of St. Francis on Thursday evening, Oct 8, 7:30 PM. Your pets are invited to attend – suitably leashed or caged – for a special prayer of blessing. A simple communion will be celebrated. This is a fun and unique family service in the parish hall.
Mardi Gras & Evening Prayer
To celebrate our common faith and our diversity, we are planning a Mardi Gras evening with dinner, steelpan music, some fun (limbo) and evening prayer to help us prepare for the season of Lent.
We will begin gathering at 6:30- 6:45 pm and our diverse dinner begins promptly at 7:00 pm. Dinner will include a choice of roast beef and mashed potatoes or jerk chicken, as well as other food from the warmer climes. Pancakes and sausages are served for children.
Following dinner and dessert, we will move to the sanctuary for a half hour informal evening prayer service to prepare us for Lent.
Dinner tickets are on sale, please contact Katharine – $10 for adults, $4 for children (pancakes).
Come celebrate together!

Parenting Children Course
What is The Parenting Children Course?
Why do the course?
- Children do not arrive with an instruction manual
- No role we undertake is more important than parenting
Family life is under great pressure today and parents face bewildering choices about how to parent effectively. Discovering we are not alone in the challenges we face and picking up ideas from other parents can make a huge difference. We can all learn how to make even the happiest family better.
When?
Starting on Sunday, Sept. 20 and running every other week for a total of 5 sessions. We’ll meet at 12:00-2:30pm in the Parish Hall, enjoy a simple lunch as a family and then dive into the course together while children are being taken care of downstairs.
REGISTER HERE
There’s no cost to register, however a donation will be accepted to cover the cost of lunch and there’s a workbook that each family receives at the first session, its cost is $10.
