Lent
Lent is a season of engaging with practices that help us be more responsive to God. We have planned a number opportunities to help you make your Lent a Holy season.
- Join us over Lent for a six-week journey of reflection on time produced by the Anglican community of the Society of St. John the Evangelist. Rev. Stephen is leading a group meeting on this series throughout Lent, beginning on Monday evening March 11th, 7:30 PM at the church. You can go tohttps://www.ssje.org/time/ to subscribe to receive the series’ daily video meditations from the SSJE Brothers directly in your inbox.
- Morning Prayer on Thursdays at 10am in the Sanctuary
- Children’s Worship – Each Sunday at 10:30AM, children from JK-Grade 9 will focus on growing in their understanding of God. Through exploration of lenten practices, through a variety of activities, children are given an opportunity to develop their faith.
St. Philip’s is also participating in the Markham-Unionville Ministerial’s Sunday Evening Lenten Series. There will be a service for each Sunday in Lent, hosted by a different congregation. St. Philip’s will be hosting an Evensong service on Sunday, April 7 at 7:00 pm.
